Trinity Cafe is an intentional community.
‘Faces of Trinity Cafe’ is a celebration of all that embodies that community.
Every person who walks through the doors at Trinity Cafe has a unique story of their own.
Meet Ann Marie.
I heard about Trinity Cafe at a presentation by Mandy Cloninger at St.Timothy’s Catholic Church. St. Tim’s then started sending a group to the Nebraska location twice a month. After volunteering with that group a few times, I began signing up for the Busch location on my own once a month.
The opportunity to serve others in a meaningful way keeps me coming back. My goal now is to volunteer at Trinity once a week. The loving and giving attitude of other volunteers inspires me to want to do more. I definitely feel that serving at Trinity is more reward than sacrifice.
Seeing the happiness on people’s faces from simple things like rainbows, a sunny day, a smile, good food, fellowship, a random act of kindness gives me the most joy.
I used to negotiate contracts for F-16 aircraft. My biggest struggle right now is finding the right balance in retirement.
The most heartwarming thing I’ve ever seen is a litter of collie puppies.
I don’t dedicate my time to any one thing. I try to find the right balance between things that must be done, things that should be done and things that are fun. Church, family, community, and/or healthy living are at the core of most activities.
God is a powerful influence, and so is the love of my husband, Chris.
