Serving double the daily meals with dignity means double the volunteer opportunities! Audrey Hepburn once said, “You have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.” In just four short weeks your helping hands can be a big blessing to Trinity Cafe 2.
Thanks to generous donors and grants from Hillsborough County and the Bank of America Neighborhood Builders award, our second location in North Tampa will open on March 24th. The memorial hall at the First Church of God, located at 2202 E Busch Blvd, will serve as our dining room.
Trinity Cafe 2 will operate in the same way as the Nebraska Ave location to continue the Trinity Cafe mission, to restore a sense of dignity to the homeless and hungry while serving a nutritious meal. The only difference is that meals will be prepared at our existing kitchen and then transported to Trinity Cafe 2. We anticipate serving 200-300 guests Monday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Reserving a spot to volunteer is easy! Select the Volunteer tab on the main page of our website and click Volunteer Sign Up – Busch Blvd Location. To view the volunteer count to see which dates are available before signing up, visit the Volunteer Calendar – Bush Blvd Location. Volunteers are expected to arrive Monday-Friday no later than 11:00 a.m. and will be needed until approximately 1:15 p.m.
Important things to remember:
-Groups are limited to a maximum of 10
-Must be 16 years of age or older
-Must wear close-toed shoes
